Hi Steve
The Talosian mask is looking excellent. You’ve done a really nice job on this!
Hope you don’t mind me sharing my own projects with you? I think it helps me a great deal to touch base with you and get your approval . . . or even advise me if you think I’m going wrong? I work in solitude!
Here’s an update of my latest project . . .Day five on my sculpture of Talos from JASON & THE ARGONAUTS. Most of the key detail is in place with the exception of the back, which needs a lot more work. I sculpt in front of a computer screen, populated by a series of reference photos, taken from all angles, and I click onto an image that best matches the part I’m working on. It helps a lot. Once all the key detail is in place, I will need to carefully go over everything to tidy things up, fine-tuning all the detail. I’ll be off this project for most of next week, but when I get back to it will sculpt the head and add textures to the sculpture. He should stand about 16 or 17″ when completed.
With the exception of a shot of the upper back, there are no really useful screen-captures of Talos from the rear . . .which is why I’m modelling the lower back of my sculpture from a real life photograph!
Best
Terry
