Every week we send out a newsletter to people who asked to be on our list of nearly 500. If you’d like to be on this list send us an email. Here is this weeks.
On Monday I finished the sculpture for the Planet of the Apes Orangutan. I also made the mold.
I ran rubber for the castings of the gorilla and chimps. Orders were filled and shipped.
Mary got some painting in on Monday too. Her painting and photos can be seen at her WordPress site:
Wednesday we took the dogs on a brief and relaxing vacation in our beloved Rialta VW motorhome. We camped on the beach with a group of other Rialta owners and had a lovely time on the beach and the trails taking in nature and the beautiful landscape. This is something we really need to do more often.
We left Carpinteria SB early Friday. All rested up, we were back at the studio that afternoon and I poured up the first Orangutan mask. I also shipped some more rocket kits.
Today I had the pleasure of being a National Association of Rocketry observer for a TARC team at Oak Park High School. This was a wonderful experience of helping brilliant young people pursue their interests and aerospace future careers. You can learn more about TARC here: https://rocketcontest.org/
TARC means the The American Rocketry Challenge.
It was amazing watching the joy of a successful flight these students received.
And here I am after all of the things we did this week writing about it on Saturday afternoon.
Thank you all for all the orders and emails.
Next week is another full week. We start production on the Peter Fox short film by visiting our locations and making plans to shoot the film soon. And I’ll also be starting the ape prosthetics and setting up to make the Tologian from Star Trek.
Thank you for all your support and love.
